Who is eligible for this plate?
Any former prisoner of war or if the former POW is deceased, the spouse of the former POW who possesses a vehicle required to be registered.

Steps Required:
Provide the County Clerk with written evidence from the United States Veterans Administration or any other appropriate federal agency stating the period of time that the applicant was a prisoner of war and in the case of the spouse show proof of the former POW's death.

Remarks:
This plate may be issued to any 6,000 lb. commercial truck or passenger vehicle owned, leased or provided by an employer. The initial cost includes $5.00 which goes to the Veterans Trust Fund. A minimum of $5.00 may be donated to the Veterans Trust Fund at the time of renewal. This type of plate is issued every five years, and will be replaced in the year 2003 and every 5th year after.
