| Steps Required: Dealer must register with the County Clerk where the principle office or business is located, by submitting a verified statement containing the dealer name, address, social security number and dealer's license number of all bona fide salesperson or employees authorized to use the Kentucky dealer plates. |

| Remarks: Motor vehicles bearing dealer's plates may be used on the highways only by the licensed dealer or a bona fide salesperson or employee of the dealer, or by any manufacturer or dealer licensed properly in transporting of any motor vehicle over the highways of this state to the place of retail business from a manufacturer or wholesale dealer in motor vehicles. Dealers may allow a bona fide customer or a customer's employee to use a dealer plate on a motor vehicle which is being demonstrated, limited to one (1) trip or demonstration to the same prospective customer. The verified statement procedure must be followed yearly, in addition a dealer verified statement must be submitted to the County Clerk each quarter, unless additions or deletions of employees warrant that the statement be submitted more frequently. Additional plates are $15.00 each. |
